Email support@changehunt.app and a human will read it. Include the coin, what the app said, and a screenshot if you have one — that is usually enough to sort it out in one reply.

Scanning and results

The value range looks wrong

Value ranges come from curated reference bands or current listings, which is not the same as an appraisal or a guaranteed sale price. Condition, wear and timing all move the real number. If the app misidentified the coin, the confidence badge should have said so — if it read High and was wrong, that is a bug worth emailing us about.

It could not identify my coin

Get closer, fill the frame, and make sure the date and mint mark are in focus and well lit. Photograph both sides if you can. Heavily worn or cleaned coins are genuinely hard, and ChangeHunt reports low confidence rather than guessing a date it cannot actually read.

It says there's no value range for this coin yet

That means we do not have a source we are willing to cite for that specific coin and date. Rather than invent a number, the app says so plainly. Reference bands are added over time as they can be properly sourced.

The candidates list shows more than one coin

That is a Low confidence result. ChangeHunt shows up to three possible matches and a manual search instead of picking one and pretending it's sure. Use the manual search if you can read the date or mint mark yourself.

How does the free tier work?

5 scans per calendar day, with the full result card every time — nothing is blurred or gated. Your last 3 scans stay in history. No card is needed and nothing is charged unless you subscribe.

What does Premium add?

Unlimited everyday scanning, full scan history, and jar / roll session totals. Premium Weekly is $6.99/week, Premium Monthly is $9.99/month with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, and Premium Yearly is $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling there stops any future charge and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I subscribed on one phone and want it on another

Sign in to the same Apple Account on the other phone and tap Restore on the ChangeHunt paywall.

Privacy

Do you keep my coin photos?

No. A photo is sent to identify the coin and is not retained afterward. There is no account and no login. See the privacy policy for exactly what is handled.

How do I delete my data?

Your scan history lives only on your phone. Clear it in Settings inside the app, or delete the app. We hold nothing tied to you that could be looked up.

Does ChangeHunt work on Android or iPad?

iPhone only for now, iOS 17 or later.

Is ChangeHunt connected to PCGS, NGC or the US Mint?

No. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. The US Mint is cited only as a source for coin specifications; PCGS and NGC are named only inside the non-affiliation disclaimer.
