What ChangeHunt is

ChangeHunt identifies coins and pocket change from a photo and shows a rough value range. It is a research tool for your own curiosity and sorting decisions, not an appraisal service.

Estimates are estimates

ChangeHunt does not appraise anything. Every identification is a best-effort guess from an automated vision model, shown with a confidence level (High, Medium or Low) so you know how much to trust it. A low-confidence result shows up to three possible candidates and a manual search option — it never presents a precise identification it is not confident in.

Every value shown is a range, never a single number, built from curated reference bands or from active marketplace listings (asking prices, not completed transactions), and is clearly labeled as an estimate. Most pocket change is worth its face value; occasional coins are worth more, and the app says so honestly either way.

ChangeHunt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PCGS, NGC, or any other coin grading service. Grade bands shown in the app (for example "circulated" or "lightly circulated") are broad, plain-language wear descriptions, not numeric or certified grades, and are not a substitute for professional grading.

You are responsible for decisions you make using ChangeHunt, including whether to buy, sell, keep or have a coin professionally appraised. We are not liable for losses from decisions you make using the app, including a coin identified incorrectly or a value range that does not match what a coin is later worth to a buyer. For any decision with real money at stake, consult a professional numismatist or grading service.

Subscriptions

ChangeHunt offers a free tier (5 scans per calendar day, full readable results, and your last 3 scans in history) and the following auto-renewable subscriptions through ChangeHunt Premium:

• ChangeHunt Premium Weekly — $6.99 per week.
• ChangeHunt Premium Monthly — $9.99 per month, with a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
• ChangeHunt Premium Yearly — $39.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Premium removes the daily scan limit for normal use, and unlocks full scan history and jar / roll session totals.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of a free trial if one applies.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
• If you take a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when a paid period begins.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us.

We may apply reasonable fair-use limits to automated or abusive usage patterns so the service stays available and affordable for everyone; this does not affect ordinary use of the app.

Acceptable use

Do not use ChangeHunt to break the law, to scrape or resell the content we provide, to reverse-engineer the service, or to submit content you have no right to submit. We can suspend access that damages the service for other people.

Not affiliated

ChangeHunt is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PCGS, NGC, the United States Mint, or any grading service or marketplace. Names of coin series and any cited Mint sources are used only to describe the coins the app identifies.

Service changes

We may change or discontinue features. Reference content and value ranges depend on sources that can change or become unavailable.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChangeHunt is provided "as is" without warranties, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
